Applicants must pass and submit scores from CSET and CBEST.
Please note: For your application to be reviewed on time it is suggested that you take the CSET and CBEST exams by the following dates:
CSET
January 10, 2015 (paper-based tests in science)
January 26, 2015 (Computer-based tests (math, multiple subjects) have a 3-4 week reporting timeline)
CBEST
January 10, 2015 (paper-based test)
February 23, 2015 (computer-based test)
Beginning September 10, 2012, computer-based testing will be available for the following CSET examinations:
- CSET: Multiple Subjects
- CSET: Writing Skills
- CSET: Mathematics (SFTR requires all single subject Math applicants to pass all three sub tests of the CSET Mathematics exam).
Computer-based testing is offered at over 30 test centers in California and over 250 test centers nationwide. Computer-based administrations of these tests are available year-round by appointment, Monday–Saturday (excluding holidays), on a first-come, first-served basis.
For CSET: Multiple Subjects and CSET: Writing Skills, scores will be reported within 2-3 weeks of testing. For CSET: Mathematics, scores will be reported within 3-4 weeks of testing.
